Van Isle Marina will be changing its hours of operation to reflect the company’s desire to increase support to its guests by providing access to the Marina Office earlier in the day.

On Monday May 2nd, 2011, the Marina Office hours of operation will be from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and will switch to our Summer schedule of being open 7 days a week.

Effective April 29th, 2011, the Fuel Dock will be changing to its Summer schedule and will reflect the new hours of operation from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Van Isle Marina is participating in the CURE Foundation for Breast Cancer, 15^th edition of National Denim Day, on Tuesday, May 10/11.

Marina employees will be participating in this important cause by wearing denim or pink ribbons. The marina is trying to beat last year’s donations by more than 10%.

To participate, you too can wear denim or a pink flower ribbon for a suggested donation of $5.00. Donations can be made at the marina office.

You also have the option of purchasing a one year membership for the CURE Foundation Travel & Entertainment Card for $10.00 online.

With this card you will receive the lowest prices on a wide selection of:

For you fishing enthusiasts, the Sidney Anglers Annual Salmon Tournament is scheduled for April 30th, 2011.  Everyone is welcome to enter the tournament.  Rod Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased at Home Hardware in Sidney, Island Outfitters and Trotac Marine.  The banquet is an additional $22 (including hst) per person.

Derby Dates:

• Friday April 29th, Meeting, 5:00-9:00 pm
• Saturday April 30th, (Fishing Day) Scales close at 4:00 pm
• Saturday April 30th, Banquet Dinner, 4:00 pm

There are $10,000 in cash prizes to be won: 1st Place $5,000, 2nd Place $3,000 and 3rd Place $2,000.
