Marina president Mark Dickinson handed a $10,000 cheque in December to Bonnie Campbell, a member of the BC Cancer Foundation’s Inspire the World Campaign cabinet.  The donation is in support of the vital campaign at the BC Cancer Agency’s Vancouver Island Centre for the provision to patients and their families of essential psychological and emotional support throughout their entire cancer journey, and will further support innovative cancer research.  Cancer touches all of us, with over an estimated 5,000 new diagnosed cancer patients this year on Vancouver Island.

Mark Dickinson said, “It is extremely important that we be part of the leadership and commitment to ensuring cancer patients receive the very best care possible.”

Mark Dickinson, President at Van Isle Marina, attended the Visions Fundraising Gala on November 20, 2010 and helped raise a record amount of $441,205 for the Victoria Hospitals Foundation.

The Gala Event was held at the Fairmont Empress with a sold-out, 300 person, black-tie event.  The Visions Gala Event is a major contributor to the Victoria Hospitals Foundation’s fall campaign.
